Streets
I walked about Cihangir Today, very nice weather. I love the cats. Which of the white cat's photograph do you think is better ? The cat with its tongue out was like that all the time; either it has a tongue too long, either its nose is running.

Dadash Ap. 21
I took this photo as I was wandering through the streets of Cihangir near Taksim. This wheelbarrow reminded me of Noah's post about the street art he witnessed in NYC.

May Day Aftermath
Yesterday was May Day and when I went to work I shot those pictures of Siraserviler Street in Cihangir near Taksim. It was after the demonstrations were over.

Miss Pizza
Tonight we went to Miss Pizza, in the Cihangir (Djihangir) district with some friends (Engin & Reyhan, and Ceylan). Big night tonight, there was a derby soccer game between two of the three Turkish team : Besiktas and Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahçe won 2-1.

Before going into Miss Pizza (one of the best pizza place in Istanbul) I saw this little composition standing there on a wall. A sandwich, an empty bottle of wine and a 'waffle'. Interesting...

Then, when we came out Engin and Ekin wanted to pose in front of them so yu can admire them at will now.

On the way to the car we saw this funny board with this writing meaning : 'We do modern circumcision'. Whatever they mean by 'modern'. In the circle, it says 'Cihangir Health' with a 'k' next to it. Zhat is the 'k' for ? I thing it might stand for 'klinik's 'k' but who knows ?

Stencils Searching Day
Today, as I went to feed my parents' cat (they're in Paris for those who wonder), I wandered around in the Cihangir district again to find some new stencils.

I really like this one, it was (apparently) drawn using a single line. It reminded me of the line skulls that my friend Noah did for his skulladay project.

The famous Cihangir Cats

View of the Galata Tower from Cukurcuma.

I'm always amazed that the water pipes and taps are in the open like that. If I shut this tap, the guy won't have anymore water. That's risky.

Ahhh the Bosphorus. This is the Asian continent on the other side.

Saturday is a nice day
Sunday is (almost) do nothing day.
After Ekin went to yoga I met her and we went to have breakfast at Cuppa (here), a very nice café in Cihangir (good for vegetarians by the way). We had to leave our car because some guy (a girl according to Ekin) parked his (her) car behind ours, keeping us from leaving.

Will some of you recognize this building ? (N.?, J.?, S.?, P.?)

Then we went to feed my parents' cat. Who's as big as Ekin. He's a Maine Coon for the connoisseurs. A real one.
